Full Description
One owner Rem 700 purchased new in the mid/late 70's at Mertz's Gun Rack in Northumberland. A classic varmit rifle in a classic caliber. Never busted brush with it. Used mainly in the prone in hayfields, and soybean fields after a light rain. Nice wood, 24" heavy varmit barrel, no rust, good crown, and 1" Leupold rings. Rifle had a trigger job and the trigger is crisp and breaks clean. Stock has a few rub marks in the forearm checkering and has a few small pressure dents but no scratches through the finish. I live in Alaska now and it kills me to see it sitting in my gun safe. I'm coming back to PA for a bit in mid-May and will handcarry the rifle to my central PA hometown (east of State College) and can work to meet anyone interested within a reasonable distance w. Thanks for looking.
